QJAAAHL APPOINTS MICHEL EMARD AS VICE PRESIDENT

Appointment of Michel Emard as Vice President Hockey of the QJAAAHLThe President of the QJAAAHL Richard Morency today announced the appointment of Mr. Michel Emard as Vice President Hockey. Mr. Emard succeeds Michel Leveille who will now occupy the position of Executive Vice President.
"We are very pleased that Mr. Emard has agreed to join our League", were the first comments by Richard Morency. "Mr. Emard is involved in the world of minor hockey for over 30 years and there is no doubt that his knowledge and experience gained over all these years will be an important asset in his new role as Vice President Hockey of the QJAAAHL", concluded the QJAAAHL's President.
Over the past two years, Mr. Emard held the position of President with the "Ligue de hockey de developpement du Montreal-Metropolitain" which includes 53 teams of AA level and espoir. Mr. Emard was also a member of Hockey Quebec committee of excellence as well as a Member of the Provincial committee, (Hockey Quebec Midget espoir network).
The new Vice President Hockey made its debut in hockey as Assistant Coach with the Laval-South Bantam A in 1976. Since then, he held many positions with various organizations in minor hockey for the Laval area both at the administrative and hockey levels including the Presidency of the Laval-Bourassa Hockey League in 2007-2008.
"It is with a pinch in the heart that I submitted my resignation as President of the "Ligue de hockey de developpement du Montreal-Metropolitain", said Mr. Emard. "Joining the QJAAAHL is a big challenge for me but also a very good opportunity in my career". "It is with great enthusiasm that I begin this new adventure and I want to thank Mr. Morency for the confidence it has shown me and I am honoured by this nomination", concluded the new Vice President Hockey.
